Warwick Root Tip Elevator

A retained apical fragment needs a fine tip and the right angle. The Warwick root tip elevator gives you both as a mirrored pair. Choose the Left, the Right, or the two together.

Why a mirrored pair

One hand of the pair reaches one side of the arch with ease. The other hand mirrors it for the opposite side. As a result, you keep a natural wrist position wherever the fragment sits. Without the pair, you may twist your hand or lose sight of the tip.

Left, Right or both

• Left: the left-hand form of the pair.
• Right: the right-hand form, a mirror of the Left.
• Both: the full pair for any quadrant.

Each hand is sold singly. So if you lost one, you can replace just that side.

A fine tip for small pieces

This tool aims at fragments near the apex, not whole roots. Its fine tip slips into the gap beside the piece. Then small turns ease it up out of the socket. For larger roots, start with a heavier elevator first.

Safe technique

Brace your hand with a finger rest close to the site. Next, enter the ligament space and use gentle rotation. Avoid any fulcrum on a tooth you plan to keep. Moreover, slow work spares the buccal plate where an implant may go.

Caring for the pair

Keep the two hands together so they do not get mixed with other tools. After each cycle, check both tips for bends. A crisp tip grips the fragment, while a worn one can slip.
