custom surgical instruments

Custom Surgical Instruments and Private Label Manufacturing

Built to Your Exact Specifications

Not every instrument a surgeon needs exists in a catalog. Intrace USA manufactures custom surgical and dental instruments to your specification — a modified tip, a different curve, a pattern nobody makes any more, or a complete set built to your own list.

We own the factory, so the minimum order is one piece. One instrument, made to your drawing, your sample, or your photograph. That applies to private label too: your brand on a single instrument if that is what you need.

Custom surgical instruments we make

Modified patterns
An instrument we already make, with a different tip, curve, length, jaw pattern or serration. The fastest to quote, because we start from a pattern already in production.
Instruments from scratch
Working from a technical drawing, a physical sample, or a photograph. If you do not have a drawing, we will produce one and send it back for your approval before anything is cut.
Complete procedure sets
A named surgeon’s tray, an implant kit, a specialty set built to your list rather than assembled from a generic pack.
Private label
Your brand marked on the instrument and on the packaging, for dealers and for institutions that mark their own inventory.
Laser engraving
Practice name, department, or asset-tracking numbers on the shank.

Minimum order: one

1
Piece minimum
on every custom order

One instrument. One modified pattern. One privately labelled piece. There is no minimum quantity on custom work, and no separate threshold for putting your brand on it.

Most instrument manufacturers will not open a production run for fewer than a hundred pieces, because they are quoting a factory they do not control. We own ours, which is why a single instrument is worth making.

Send us the instrument you cannot replace

Surgeons keep instruments that are no longer made — a favourite elevator, a pattern from a company that closed, something modified years ago by a technician who has since retired. When it wears out, there is usually nowhere to go.

An orthopedic surgeon at a major US teaching hospital sent us two of his own custom elevators. We measured them, reproduced them exactly to his specification, and returned the originals. If you have an instrument like that, post it to us.

Who makes them

Since the 1970s

Our factory is a family business, now in its second and third generation of instrument makers.

We own the factory

Ask for a curve that does not exist yet and the answer comes from the bench, not from a purchasing department relaying a question to a supplier.

Inspected in the USA

Every instrument is inspected in the United States before it is distributed to your facility.

The company

Intrace USA is the trading name of Pilotis Tech LLC, a Georgia company based in Brookhaven, just outside Atlanta.

FDA establishment registration

Pilotis Tech LLC is a registered device establishment with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. FDA establishment registration is an administrative filing; it does not constitute FDA approval or clearance of any device.

How a custom order works

From the first photograph to a delivered instrument — here is exactly what happens, and how long each part takes.

A drawing, a photograph, a written description with dimensions, or the instrument itself in the post. No formal spec sheet is required — a rough idea is a good starting point.

We confirm the instrument can be made, and come back with unit price and lead time. If you did not send a drawing, we produce one and send it for your approval before anything is cut.

We make one instrument and send it to you before the production run. The sample is charged, and the cost comes off the order. Nothing goes into production until you have held it.

Four to eight weeks from the approved design. Every instrument is inspected in the United States before it ships to your facility, anywhere in the country.
