Description
Walter F. Barry Root Elevator Set, 6 Pieces
Our Walter F. Barry root elevator set brings three left and right pairs together. Many oral surgeons use handed patterns like these for retained roots. With both sides on the tray, you choose the approach and the blade follows.
What a handed pair offers
A left and a right blade mirror each other. So when access favors the mesial side, you take one; when it favors the distal side, you take the other.
Inside the six-piece kit
The pairs run Fig. 320 and 321, Fig. 322 and 323, and Fig. 350 and 351. Each figure has its own working end. Rather than guess, compare them on the tray and keep the one that fits each socket.
Using a Barry with care
Handed elevators work best with slow, controlled turns. First, find a firm point of purchase on bone or root. Then rotate a little, pause, and let the ligament give. Also keep a finger guard on the adjacent teeth so the blade cannot slip.
Good habits for handed elevators:
- Choose the side by access, not habit.
- Use a short turn, then pause.
- Guard the next tooth with a finger.
- Pass the root to forceps when it rises.
Barry, Cryer or Winter?
The Cryer kit offers a similar handed idea with a triangle tip. By contrast, the Winter kit adds a cross-bar handle for more turning power. Pick the Barry kit when you want three handed pairs in a slimmer line-up.
Why one kit beats six singles
A full kit gives you matched pairs, so no blade sits alone without its mirror. Besides, one order is faster than six, and your tray stays complete.
Ordering the Barry pairs
If a Barry blade turns out faulty, all six Walter F. Barry elevators fall under three years against manufacturing defects as one kit. Our team sets the design, and each Barry blade uses a stainless steel in line with ASTM F899. The six pieces travel non-sterile; one full reprocessing cycle readies them, and they keep working through many more. Intended for professional use. Before ordering, check how to reprocess the steel and how the Barry kit travels to you.
