Three Blade Shapes, Three Jobs

The Angled, 11.5 cm pair sets the blades at an angle to the handles. Consequently, the tips reach lingual and distal surfaces while your hand stays outside the mouth. The Straight, 12 cm pair offers the simplest line of cut, which suits anterior gingiva and suture removal. Finally, the Curved, 12 cm pair follows the arch, so you can trim around a tooth in one smooth pass.

How to Pick for Your Practice

Start with the region you treat most. For example, a practice doing frequent posterior flaps tends to favour the angled or curved pairs. Meanwhile, a hygiene or general setting that mainly removes sutures may only need the straight pair. The angled model is also slightly shorter, at 11.5 cm, which gives extra control in small mouths. If you still cannot decide, compare the three photos side by side.

Material and Warranty Details

All three Wagner gum scissors are stainless steel. They arrive non-sterile; open the blades fully, wash the joint and sterilize them before the first appointment. Also, store them with the tips guarded so the edges stay keen. Each pair also comes under a Wagner-specific promise: three years against manufacturing defects, dated from the invoice.
