Description
Vollmar Ring Strippers
The Vollmar ring stripper helps remove plaque during endarterectomy by working a ring along the artery. Each one measures 50 cm, with round or oval rings and a separate handle.
Round rings
Round rings come in 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8.5, 10, 12 and 14 mm. So you can match the ring to the inner size of the artery. Small sizes suit narrow vessels well.
Oval rings
Oval rings run from 5.2 x 4 mm up to 13 x 10 mm. The steps between include 6.5 x 5, 7.8 x 6, 9 x 7, 10.5 x 8 and 11.5 x 9 mm. Because arteries rarely stay perfectly round, an oval shape can follow the wall closely.
Long reach for remote work
At 50 cm, each instrument travels a long way from a small arteriotomy. As a result, the surgeon can clear long segments through one opening. Meanwhile, the handle stays outside the vessel for control.
Handle sold separately
You can order the handle on its own for your Vollmar ring stripper collection. Then add rings one size at a time as your needs grow. Also, spare rings keep the set complete during repair or loss.
Reprocessing Vollmar ring stripper
Flush every ring and shaft right after use, since plaque debris sticks fast. Next, brush the ring edges gently and rinse along the full 50 cm. Finally, dry each one and lay it straight in a long tray, never coiled.
