The Nabatoff vein stripper set gives you a complete kit for varicose vein stripping, supplied in its own box. It includes olive heads in five sizes, a handle, a cable and a plastic probe.

Nabatoff vein stripper set: five olive heads

Olives come in 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15 mm. The surgeon picks a head to suit the width of the vein. Then the olive swaps onto the cable without changing the rest of the kit.

What each part does

The probe passes along the vein first. Next, the cable and handle give the pull needed to draw it out. Because every piece has a role, the box keeps them together between cases.

Buy only the spare you need

Each component also sells on its own. So a lost olive or a worn cable does not mean a new kit. Likewise, you can add a second handle for a busy list.

Take the kit apart fully before washing, since blood collects where the olives attach. Then flush the cable and wipe the plastic probe with a soft cloth. Finally, count every olive back into the box before storage.
