Description
Torque Wrench
An implant torque wrench lets the restoring dentist tighten abutment screws by hand with a controlled, repeatable force. Over time, a screw tightened by feel alone may loosen, so most implant protocols name a torque value. This wrench helps your team reach that value and stop there.
Where the Wrench Fits in a Restorative Visit
The wrench drives a separate driver tip that engages the screw head. First, the screw is seated with light finger pressure. Next, the wrench is attached and turned until it reaches the torque your implant system specifies. In addition, many clinicians repeat the tightening after a short wait, as their system instructions suggest.
A Single Model, So Check Compatibility
This product comes in one version only. Our supplier catalogue lists it with its periotome handles, blades and ratchet items, but it gives no torque scale or connection size. Therefore, please compare the photos with the drivers you already use. If you are unsure whether it will mate with your system, contact us before ordering and we will help confirm.
Getting Consistent Readings
Hold the wrench so the head stays in line with the long axis of the implant. Then pull smoothly rather than in jerks, since sudden force overshoots the target. Also, keep the mechanism clean, because dried debris can change how the wrench feels.
- Seat the screw by hand first
- Apply steady pressure along the implant axis
- Record the value you used in the chart
Inspection and Warranty
Before shipping, every wrench passes a visual and functional check in the United States. Our coverage runs three years against manufacturing defects, which includes the head and the handle. It comes non-sterile, so disassemble it if the design allows, clean it and sterilize it before use.
The stainless steel meets ASTM F899. Browse the implant instruments category, pair it with our Implant Drivers, or see the FAQs for ordering help.
Only for qualified clinicians and their trained assistants. Guidance on reprocessing is on our care and sterilization page; delivery options are on shipping and delivery.
