T.C. Direct Bond Bracket Removers
Debonding day ends a long course of care, and the right plier makes it calm and quick. This carbide bracket remover lifts direct bond brackets off the teeth. It has tungsten-carbide (T.C.) inserts, which keep their working edge longer than plain steel.
Three Ways to Reach
We offer three options, and each comes singly.
- Wide: a direct bonding bracket remover with wide jaws
- Angled: an angled direct bond bracket remover
- Standard: the straight, everyday pattern
So how do you choose? Start with Standard for most teeth. Then add the Angled option when reach is the issue, such as toward the back of the mouth. The Wide option suits those who want broader jaws. Check the photos to compare.
Why Carbide Inserts Help
Debonding puts steady load on the tips. Over time, plain steel tips can round off. Carbide inserts hold their edge longer, so the remover keeps a firm grip on the bracket. As a result, you get a cleaner lift, case after case.
After the Brackets Come Off
Once the brackets are off, some adhesive usually stays on the tooth. A separate tool deals with that. In addition, plan for retainer records at the same visit. Keeping the debond tray set up in advance saves chair time.
Insert Care
Carbide is hard but can chip if dropped. So set the plier down gently and store it apart from heavy tools. Also wipe the inserts soon after use. Then check them for chips before the next debond.
Arrival and Reuse
Each remover ships non-sterile. A cleaning and sterilisation pass gets it ready for the next debond.
Every carbide bracket remover option includes three years against manufacturing defects, and we put build faults right. The stainless body meets ASTM F899. For the cement left behind, see our adhesive removing pliers. The orthodontic instrument department holds the rest of our debond range, and our FAQ section answers order questions.
