Description
Syndesmotome Root Elevator Set, 8 Pieces
Our 8 piece syndesmotome set skips the straight blades and focuses on reach. Three angled, three curved and two posterior patterns let you cut the ligament where a straight tool struggles.
A kit built around access
Front teeth are usually easy to reach. However, premolars and molars often need a bend or a curve in the blade. This kit gives you exactly that, so you spend less effort on awkward sites.
Angled, curved, posterior
Fig. 22, 23 and 24 carry an angle. Fig. 25, 26 and 27 add a curve that tracks the root. Finally, Fig. 28 and 29 reach the back of the mouth.
A quick guide by site:
- Premolars and angled access: Fig. 22 to 24
- Curved root surfaces: Fig. 25 to 27
- Molars at the back: Fig. 28 and 29
The role of a syndesmotome
These thin, sharp blades sever the ligament fibers. Once the fibers give, elevators and forceps usually need less force. So the syndesmotome often comes first in a careful extraction.
Pairing with a straight set
If you already own straight blades, this kit adds what you lack. On the other hand, if you also want all shapes in one box, the twelve-piece kit covers straight blades too.
Why eight together
Each shape group in the 8 piece syndesmotome set works as a team around the arch. So buying them together keeps the finish uniform. It also means one order rather than eight.
Care, cover and related kits
Your kit includes coverage of three years against manufacturing defects, honored on any blade that fails. We set the design, and the stainless steel is to ASTM F899. The blades arrive non-sterile. Then, after cleaning and sterilization, each is reusable. For the full range with straight blades, view the twelve-blade syndesmotome kit. Also shop our institutional sets and read common questions.
Professional use. Our sterilization instructions and delivery page explain care and transit.
