Once a lateral window is open, the membrane has to be released from bone in every direction. These sinus lift curettes come from a numbered sinus lift set in the supplier catalogue. Here, each pattern is sold on its own. So you can assemble the full sequence, or simply replace the one tip that gets used most.

Eight Patterns, One Numbering System

The options run from #1 to #7, plus a pattern labelled Acute 6577. The catalogue shows the numbered curettes together in a cassette set. However, it does not publish a separate dimension for each number. For that reason, we suggest you compare the product photos, which show how the shank bends and how the blade turns from one number to the next.

Reaching the Floor, the Walls and the Corners

Curved shanks let a curette follow the sinus contour without levering on the window margin. Generally, surgeons use straighter patterns near the window and more angled ones as they move toward the medial wall. The Acute 6577 pattern, as its name suggests, has a tighter angle. Therefore, it suits recesses that a gentler bend cannot reach. Keep at least one acute pattern available, because septa and deep recesses rarely announce themselves before surgery.

Buying singly helps when one number wears faster than the rest. It also lets a new associate start with three or four favorite shapes and add others later.
