This listing is a single Semm retractor blade, sold without the frame. Buy it to replace a worn blade or to add a size your set does not have.

Four blade sizes

We offer 47 x 65 mm, 50 x 54 mm, 98 x 52 mm and 105 x 35 mm. So you can choose short, deep blades or long, narrow ones. In each case the first figure is the length and the second is the width.

Part of a frame system

The blades attach to the Semm retractor frame, which holds them in place during the operation. Therefore the frame does the holding, and the blades set the shape of the exposure. You can swap blades as the case moves on.

Building out your set

Many teams start with the complete set and then add single blades later. For instance, a second long blade helps when two sides of the wound need the same depth. Likewise, a spare means one damaged blade does not take the whole system out of use.

Check before you order

Please confirm that your frame is a Semm pattern before you buy. Blades from other frame systems may not fit. If you are not sure, send us a photo of your frame and we will check it for you.

Semm retractor blade care

Take the blade off the frame after each case. Next, wash both faces and the attachment point with a nylon brush. Then dry the blade completely and store it flat so the edge stays true.
