Description
Seldin Root Elevator Set, 6 Pieces
This Seldin root elevator set gives you a ladder of blade widths in one box. Two straight elevators handle routine luxation. Then two handed pairs add reach for awkward roots.
From a 4 mm blade to a 13 mm blade
The straight Fig. 34 carries a 5 mm blade. Its partner, Fig. 34S, narrows to 4 mm for tight spaces. Next come Fig. 4L and 4R at 10 mm, and finally Fig. 1L and 1R at 13 mm. So the kit steps up in size as the root or the access demands.
How a Seldin luxates a root
You slide the blade into the ligament space, then rotate it with gentle, steady force. So it acts as a small wedge and lever, and the root loosens before forceps take over.
Straight or handed: when to switch
Most clinicians start with the straight patterns on a single root. However, a curved molar root may need a left or right blade. Then both pairs on the tray save a trip to the cabinet.
Quick guide to the pieces:
- Fig. 34S, 4 mm: narrow sockets and lower incisors
- Fig. 34, 5 mm: general straight luxation
- Fig. 4L / 4R, 10 mm: handed reach on molar roots
- Fig. 1L / 1R, 13 mm: the widest handed blades
Seldin six or the four-piece mix?
Our smaller kit pairs Seldin 34 and 34S with an Apexo and a Crane pick. Choose it for fine apical tools. Instead, pick this six-piece kit when most work calls for luxation across many root sizes.
Matched pieces, one invoice
All six handles share one finish and grip. Also, you place one order rather than six.
Steel, warranty and next steps
If a Seldin blade shows a flaw, this six-piece tray has three years against manufacturing defects behind each Seldin elevator. We specify the stainless steel to ASTM F899, and each piece reaches you non-sterile. So scrub and sterilize the Seldin blades before the first case; they are reusable from then on. You can compare it with the Apexo, Seldin and Crane pick kit, browse other institutional dental sets, or check our FAQ page.
Professional use only. Our sterilization guide covers reprocessing, and our shipping page lists delivery times.
