Description
Potts Elevator
The Potts elevator is a root elevator on a standard, straight handle. It comes in a Left and a Right. Many clinicians like it for the fine control a slim grip gives. You hold it much like a pen or in a light palm grasp, then guide the tip with your fingers.
Finger control first
A standard handle keeps more of the work in your fingers. So you can feel small changes as the root starts to move. That feedback helps on fragile roots and thin bone. However, it also means you cannot rely on raw torque, so patience pays.
Picking a hand
Because the blade faces one way, each hand suits one side. Order the Left, the Right, or both. Each one ships as a single piece, so it is easy to complete a pair you already own.

Sister pattern with a cross-bar
The same Potts blade also comes on a T handle. That model trades some finesse for turning power. In practice, a standard handle suits routine cases, while the T helps with stubborn roots. Some teams keep both and choose at the chair.
Steady technique for a slim handle
Rest a finger on the ridge or a firm tooth for support. Then work the tip into the ligament space with small, steady turns. A sound neighbour is never your fulcrum, unless that tooth is due out too. Also, guard the buccal bone where an implant may follow.
Ordering, cover and help
Our specification guides its production, and an inspector in the United States looks it over; the stainless steel suits ASTM F899. Your Potts elevator leaves us non-sterile. Once it has had a thorough wash plus a sterilizer cycle, it can serve for years. Should a defect from production appear, rely on our three years against manufacturing defects.
