Falcon Root Elevators
Falcon root elevators come as a mirror pair: one Left and one Right. Many dentists learned on this pattern and like to keep it close. We offer each hand on its own. So you can buy a full pair or simply replace the one that went missing.
Why a lone hand falls short
A handed elevator is built to work toward one side. When you treat the other side, you need its twin. Without it, you end up with an awkward wrist angle or a different tool. For this reason, most clinics stock both hands of any paired pattern they rely on.
Is this the right pattern for you?
The best guide is your own hand. If you trained on Falcon figures, they will likely feel natural. If not, try a pair beside the elevators you use now. Then match the tip to the root and the access you usually face.
- Left: one hand of the pair
- Right: its mirror for the other side
- Each hand ordered separately
Working safely with a paired elevator
Seat the tip in the ligament space and brace with a finger rest. Then apply small, controlled turns. Avoid levering against a healthy adjacent tooth. Above all, let the root loosen gradually, as forcing it risks a fracture.
Keeping both hands in step
Pairs wear evenly only if you use them evenly. So check both tips at the same time. If one edge has dulled or bent, sharpen or replace it before the next case. A tired tip tends to slip, and a slip is never worth the risk.
How to order
Our Falcon pieces follow our own specification and clear a careful look-over in the United States, and their steel matches ASTM F899. Expect each one to reach you non-sterile; a wash and a sterilizer cycle later, it is ready for the tray. For any flaw that dates from manufacture, we honour three years against manufacturing defects. For more choice, visit our elevator collection, or compare the London Hospital pair. Shipping and order points appear on our FAQ.
