Description
London Hospital Root Elevators
Our London Hospital root elevators come in two hands, Left and Right. The pattern has a long history in British teaching clinics. Today it still has loyal users in many offices. You can order either hand alone or both together.
Grip and finger rest
How you hold an elevator shapes how well it works. First, wrap the handle firmly in your palm with your index finger along the shank. Next, place a finger rest on a firm surface near the site. This steadies the tip and limits how far it can travel if the root gives way suddenly.
Replacing one lost hand
Pairs often lose a member to a busy sterile room. Rather than buy a whole new set, order just the missing hand. In addition, a spare of the hand you reach for most can save a delay on busy days.
- Left hand
- Right hand
- Either one on its own, or both as a pair
Choosing among patterns
If this pattern is new to you, try it next to your usual elevators. Then judge it by the roots you see most and the access you usually have. Comfort in the hand matters as much as the tip itself.
Controlled force only
Work in the ligament space with small turns and gentle wedging. Never pry off a neighbouring tooth unless it is also coming out. Where an implant may follow, take extra care with the buccal plate.
Order, cover and care
It comes from a specification we wrote, followed by a careful look in the United States. Its stainless steel is compliant with ASTM F899. Unpack it non-sterile, then run it through your normal wash and sterilizer cycle; from there it is fit to reuse. Every hand comes with three years against manufacturing defects, should a production fault ever show. To see similar items, go to our elevators for root removal, or view the Falcon pair. Our FAQ section answers most ordering points.
