Description
Partial Impression Trays, Solid with Rim Lock
A solid partial rim lock tray is a compact, closed tray for one section of the lower jaw. It suits crown and bridge impressions where you want the material to stay inside the shell.
Small Tray, Firm Hold
Because the body has no holes, the hold comes from two things. First, the rim lock grips the edge. Second, tray adhesive bonds the material to the floor and walls. Skip the adhesive and the impression can drift.
Choosing a Code
There are six trays in total. The S series offers L2S, L4S and L6S, and the D series offers L2D, L4D and L6D. D and S are mirror shapes, while 2, 4 and 6 run from large to small.
Where a Partial Tray Shines
- Single crowns on a lower tooth
- Short bridges within one segment
- Quick records where you do not need a full arch
A Note on the Bite
With a small tray, the patient can often close gently. Even so, check that the steel does not touch the opposing teeth before you load. If it does, try the next size down, then test the fit again before you mix.
Easy Turnaround
Little surface means fast cleanup. Remove adhesive while it is soft, then scrub and pack the tray. Since the floor has no holes, there is no debris trapped in perforations. As a result, a quick soak and brush usually does the job before the washer cycle.
We ship this solid partial rim lock tray non-sterile. It becomes ready for reuse once you take it through cleaning and sterilization. Made to our design and checked in the United States, it uses stainless steel to ASTM F899. Every rim-lock solid partial carries three years against manufacturing defects, beaded border and handle included. The solid full-arch rim-lock tray pairs well with it for larger cases.
