Description
Needle and Ointment Jar, 1/4 qt
Some things are too small for a big canister. This needle and ointment jar holds just 1/4 qt, under a snug cover. It measures 3 × 2-1/2 in, so it fits on a narrow shelf or a tray.
A Jar for Small Quantities
Clinics use a jar like this for a dab of ointment, a few cotton pellets or small bits of gauze. Because the cover sits on top, dust stays out. In addition, the small size means you open less stock to the air each time.
One Size, Plain Shape
Also, there are no options to choose here. The jar comes in one size only.
- Capacity: 1/4 qt.
- Size: 3 × 2-1/2 in.
- Parts: a round body and a fitted cover.
So, if you need more room, look at a larger dressing jar instead.
Handling Ointments
Take ointment out with a clean spatula, not a finger. Then close the cover right away. When the jar is empty, scrape out any residue before you wash it, since grease can shield the steel from steam.
Wash, Dry, Reuse
The jar arrives non-sterile. Wash the jar by hand or run it through a washer, then rinse and dry. Next, run it through your usual cycle. Since it is stainless, you can reuse it for years.
Our Terms in Brief
We write the spec for this small jar, and staff in the United States inspect it. The metal lines up with ASTM F899. Every ointment jar carries three years against manufacturing defects, cover and body alike. Our jars, bowls and cups range lists the matching pieces. For a taller option with a flush lid grip, see the dressing jar with recessed handle. Any other questions are probably on our FAQ list.
Not for home use; this is a clinical item. Visit our care advice and shipping terms before use.
