Description
Dressing Jar with Recessed Handle
Gauze and cotton stay clean longer when they live under a lid. This covered dressing jar is a plain round canister with a close-fitting cover. Its handle sits recessed in the lid, so jars stack and store with nothing sticking up.
Why the Handle Sits Flush
A raised knob can snag on a drawer or shelf. Here, the grip dips into the lid instead. So you can still lift the cover with one finger, yet the top stays flat. That also makes the lid easy to wipe.
Four Capacities
Sizes list capacity, then diameter × height in inches.
- 1/2 qt, 4-1/8 × 3-1/4 in: a chairside jar for cotton pellets or rolls.
- 1 qt, 4-1/8 × 5-1/4 in: same width, taller, for gauze squares.
- 2-1/4 qt, 4-7/8 × 6-7/8 in: for a day of sponges or dressings.
- 4-1/2 qt, 7 × 7-7/8 in: a stock jar for a store room or surgery.
Therefore, think about how much you use per session. Then pick the jar that holds that, with a little spare.
Good Habits With Dressings
Use clean forceps to take items out, rather than fingers. Also keep the lid on your covered dressing jar between uses. When it runs low, empty it fully before you refill it.
Cleaning and Reuse
It ships non-sterile. First wash the jar and lid, then rinse and dry them. After that, both parts can go through your heat cycle. Thus one jar will serve for many years.
Quality and Warranty Terms
Each jar is built to a brief we wrote, and it gets checked in the United States. The stainless steel fits the family in ASTM F899. Our warranty covers three years against manufacturing defects, for each part of the set. Find lids, cups and bowls in our dental hollow ware list. For small items, try the capped cotton holder.
