How the Molt Pattern Works

The two blades sit between the upper and lower teeth. Then, as you squeeze the handles, the blades move apart and open the jaw. A ratchet holds each position, so the opening stays steady once set. Because the clinician controls the opening in small steps, the gag suits sedation cases and longer surgical visits.

Sizing: 11 cm (Children) and 14 cm (Adults)

The two options are scaled to the patient. The 11cm (Children) size has a smaller frame that fits paediatric arches and limited openings. In contrast, the 14cm (Adults) size spreads further and gives the operator more handle to work with. Clinics that treat both age groups usually keep one of each. If you mainly see adolescents, compare the two photos, since mouth size varies widely at that age.

Material and Cover
