Description
Micro Adson Tissue Forceps
Micro Adson forceps bring the familiar Adson shape down to 0.5 mm tips for delicate tissue. Two tip styles are offered: 1×2 Teeth and Serrated. Every pair is examined at our United States facility before it ships.
Half-Millimeter Tips for Fine Flaps
Tip size sets the scale of the work. At 0.5 mm, these tips grasp thin papillae and small flap margins with precision. Consequently, they suit microsurgical suturing around implants and in periodontal plastic surgery. Because the tips are so fine, they also need careful handling between cases.
1×2 Teeth Versus Serrated
The 1×2 Teeth version has a single tooth on one jaw meeting two on the other. So it holds tissue securely with a small contact area. The Serrated version, on the other hand, uses fine serrations instead of teeth. Therefore, it spreads the grip and also suits handling sutures and small membranes.
Two Lengths, Practically the Same
The catalogue lists the 1×2 Teeth version at 12.1 cm and the Serrated version at 12 cm. In practice, both feel the same in a pen grasp. Choose by tip style rather than length. Many clinicians keep one of each, since the two tips cover different tasks in the same case.
Covered From Day One
Both versions are stainless steel. Also, a production fault on either pair falls under our pledge of three years against manufacturing defects, starting at delivery.
Our instrument steel meets ASTM F899. Browse other tissue forceps in Dental Implant Instruments. When you need a broader bite on thicker tissue, step up to the Adson 7×7 Tissue Forceps. The FAQs answer common ordering questions.
Fine-tipped forceps for trained surgical professionals only. They are delivered non-sterile; protect the delicate tips during cleaning, then sterilize before use, as our care and sterilization page describes. Transit information is on our shipping and delivery page.
