Adson 7×7 Tissue Forceps
Our Adson 7×7 forceps hold soft tissue with a broad row of meshing teeth. That row spreads pressure instead of focusing it at one point. The instrument is 12 cm long, in a Standard straight or a Curved pattern. Every pair passes a hands-on inspection at our Atlanta facility in the United States before shipment.
What Seven-by-Seven Teeth Mean
The label describes the tip. Each jaw carries seven teeth that interlock on closing. Because the bite spreads across many small contacts, the hold on a flap stays steady. That makes the pattern a good fit for thicker mucosa or a dressing during suturing.
Standard or Curved?
Think about access first. The Standard version runs straight from handle to tip, so it suits direct buccal or palatal work. The Curved version angles its tips away from the shaft. Consequently, your fingers stay clear of the sight line around the arch or behind a retracted flap. Many surgeons stock one of each and choose per site. Both share the 12 cm length and the same teeth.
A Short Instrument for Close Work
Twelve centimeters suits a pen grasp. In addition, the tips stay close to your fingertips, which helps you place tissue edges precisely. For deep posterior sites, however, a longer instrument may serve better.
Covered Well Beyond the First Case
The stainless steel tolerates routine reprocessing. We also back the Adson 7×7 forceps for three years against manufacturing defects, counted from delivery to your office.
The ASTM F899 standard defines the steel grades for instruments like this. Related tools sit under Dental Implant Instruments. If you prefer a single rat-tooth grip, look at the Adson 1×2 Tissue Forceps. Our FAQs cover returns, invoices and larger orders.
Intended only for trained clinicians. The forceps arrive unsterilized, so wash and autoclave each pair ahead of its first procedure, per our care and sterilization guide. Transit times appear under shipping and delivery.
