Description
Mesh Tray with Hinged Lid
This mesh tray with hinged lid closes over small or loose items so they stay put during washing and steam cycles. The fine wire mesh holds tiny parts that a coarse grid might drop. Because the lid stays attached, it cannot go missing between rooms.
What the fine mesh is for
Think of burs, screws, matrix bands, small tips and spare parts. In a coarse basket, these slip through or scatter under spray. However, a fine mesh keeps them in while still letting water and steam flow. So the whole load gets the same exposure.
How the hinge works day to day
The lid swings up on one side. Load the tray, then fold the lid down over the parts. Close it before the washer starts, since strong jets can lift light items. At the end, open it on the bench and lay out the contents.
Choosing a footprint and depth
The tray comes in two footprints. Pick the one that fits your rack, then pick a depth.
- 240 × 250 mm footprint: 50, 60 or 70 mm deep.
- 480 × 250 mm footprint: 50, 60, 70 or 100 mm deep.
- Take the 100 mm option for taller items that need more room.
Steam access and drying
Mesh on every face means steam can reach the load from above and below. Also, water drains out fast at the end of the cycle. As a result, wet packs are less likely when the tray goes into a wrap.
Before the first cycle
We supply it non-sterile. Clean it and sterilize it before it enters service. After that, you can reuse it again and again. Check the hinge now and then for bent wire, and keep the lid closing flush.
If a fault in how we built it shows up, you can claim for up to three years against manufacturing defects. Its stainless body ties to the instrument steel standard ASTM F899. Next, look through our sterilization trays and hollow ware, or compare the tray with a lift-off lid. Our common questions page answers most ordering queries.
Sold for professional use. For the hinged-lid mesh tray, please follow our sterilization guidance and check shipping times when you plan an order.
