Description
Mesh Tray with Lift-Off Lid
The mesh tray with lift-off lid gives you a closed load that opens fully. The lid sits on top and has its own handle, so you can take it off and set it aside. Then the whole tray is open for loading or checking.
A lid you can remove
Some staff prefer a free lid to a hinged one. For example, it lets you load from any side, and the lid will not fall back on your hands. Also, you can clean the lid and the tray apart.
Six sizes and how to choose
All sizes are in mm. The first two figures give the footprint and the last gives the height.
- 280 × 250 mm base, in heights of 50, 70 or 100.
- 280 × 280 mm base, in heights of 60 or 70.
- 300 × 280 mm base, in one 60 mm height.
- Match the base to your rack and the height to your tallest item.
Steam and water reach
Both the tray and the lid are mesh. As a result, steam can enter from every face, and water drains out at the end of the wash. That helps the load dry well before it goes into a wrap.
Keeping small parts in
With the lid on, light items stay inside during strong spray. However, check that the lid seats evenly before each cycle. A lid that sits crooked can leave a gap at one edge. Then small parts may work loose.
From box to first cycle
We ship the tray non-sterile. Clean and sterilize both parts before first use. After that, the set is reusable through many cycles. Keep the lid with its own tray, so each pair stays matched.
Should a defect from production appear, our cover lasts three years against manufacturing defects. Built to our own spec, each tray passes inspection in the US before it ships. For the stainless steel, see the ASTM F899 standard. In addition, browse our full tray and basket section, or compare the version with a hinged lid. Our FAQ handles most other questions.
