Description
Goldman-Fox Scissors With Tungsten Carbide
Goldman-Fox scissors are compact soft tissue scissors used in periodontal and oral surgery. This listing offers two 13 cm versions, each with tungsten carbide: one with curved blades and one with straight blades. Intrace USA stocks both in Atlanta, Georgia, ready for your surgical tray.
What Tungsten Carbide Adds
Both options are labelled Tungsten Carbide. Scissors made with tungsten carbide inserts are known for holding a sharp cutting edge longer than plain stainless blades. As a result, they suit offices that trim tissue often and want fewer trips for sharpening. In addition, compare the photos to see the blade and handle finish of each version.
Curved or Straight at 13 cm
Both versions share the same 13 cm length, so the choice comes down to blade shape. Curved blades follow the contour of the arch and let the operator see the cut around the curve. Meanwhile, straight blades give a direct line for trimming flaps, tags and sutures. Many periodontists keep one of each, since cases often call for both.
Where They Fit in a Procedure
Soft tissue scissors work after the incision is made. For example, they trim tissue tags after a gingivectomy and tidy flap edges before closure. Then, once the flap is sutured, the same scissors can cut the suture ends. Keeping a dedicated pair for tissue also protects the edge from wear caused by cutting other materials.
Inspection and Coverage
Every pair is opened, closed and inspected by US-based Intrace staff before dispatch. Furthermore, curved and straight Goldman-Fox pairs both carry three years against manufacturing defects, blades and joint alike. They arrive non-sterile; clean, lubricate if your protocol requires it, and sterilize before use.
The stainless parts follow ASTM F899. See more periodontal tools in Diagnostic, Periodontal & Restorative Instruments. For marking before the incision, pair these with the Goldman-Fox Pocket Markers. Common questions are answered in our FAQs.
