Description
Mesh Basket with Fold-Down Handles
A fold-down handle mesh basket is easy to carry and easy to stack. The wire handles swing up for lifting, then lie flat against the rim when you load the rack. In practice, that saves space in the washer and on the shelf.
Why the handles fold
Fixed handles stick up and can clash with spray arms or the basket above. By contrast, folding handles drop out of the way. So you can slide the basket into tight racks and stack two or three on a cart.
Open mesh for good flow
The body is an open wire mesh. Water and steam pass through the base and sides with little to block them. Also, the open weave makes it easy to see what is inside without lifting items out.
Five sizes in two footprints
Measure your washer rack before you choose. Sizes are in mm, as length by width by height.
- 240 by 250, at 50, 60 or 70 high.
- 280 by 250, at 50 or 60 high.
- Pick a taller height for bulky or hinged tools.
Daily use at the sink and washer
First, rinse off gross debris at the point of use. Then lay items in one layer and open any hinged tools. Lower the handles, slide the basket in and run the cycle. Afterward, raise the handles and lift it out with gloves on.
Wrapping and storage
Once dry, the fold-down handle mesh basket goes into a sterilization wrap with the handles flat. It arrives non-sterile, therefore a full clean and sterilize step comes first. Because it is reusable, one basket can serve for many cycles. Keep the hinge points of the handles free of residue so they fold smoothly.
Every fold-down handle basket carries three years against manufacturing defects, wire handles included. Its stainless steel build links to the surgical steel standard ASTM F899.
