Description
Martini Bone Curettes, 14 cm
The martini curette 14 cm gives oral surgeons a sharp, spoon shaped end for removing tissue from bone. It shares a catalogue page with the Williger curettes, and both come in the same three figures. The two are separate named patterns, so look at the photos to see which handle and cup shape you prefer.
Choosing Between 00/0, 0/1 and ½
Fig. 00/0 is the smallest Martini, while Fig. ½ is the largest. Fig. 0/1 falls between them. Under the common numbering, each number refers to one end of the instrument, so you get two neighbouring cup sizes per figure. Pick the small pair for narrow roots and periapical work. Then reach for the larger figures when the cavity is broad.
Martini or Williger?
Both patterns do the same job and share the 14 cm length. However, the catalogue lists them under different names. Many practices simply stay with whichever pattern their surgeons trained on. Others buy one of each so they can feel the difference in hand.
On the Tray
Once the tooth is out, the Martini scrapes the socket walls free of soft tissue. It also enucleates small cystic lesions and gathers bone particles for grafting. Next, a quick rinse keeps the cup clear between passes.
The Martini is surgical stainless steel, chosen to the ASTM F899 standard, and inspected by hand in our United States facility. It is shipped unsterilized, therefore clean and autoclave the Martini ahead of surgery. All three Martini figures are guaranteed for three years against manufacturing defects. More tools sit in our Maxillofacial Surgery Instruments range. Pair the martini curette 14 cm with the Williger bone curettes, and see our FAQs for order help.
For use by trained oral surgery professionals. Review our sterilization advice and delivery details before ordering the Martini.
