Light Wire Bending and Loop Forming Pliers

Our light wire loop pliers bend and loop round wire as heavy as .020”. The beaks are slim, so you can work close to a bracket. We list three options, and each can be bought by itself.

Made for light round wire

Light wire needs a gentle touch. A slim beak lets you place a bend right where you want it. Because the wire is thin, you also get a clean loop with little effort.

Cutter, groove or plain beaks

• With Cutter: hard metal tips plus a cutter; good for .012” to .020” round and .018” x .022” rectangular.
• Grooved Tip: a groove in the tip, with the same ratings as the With Cutter version.
• Standard: plain beaks for round wire to .020” and rectangular to .016” x .022”.

The groove can help you hold round wire in place as you bend. Meanwhile, the cutter saves a change of tools when you trim.

Match the option to your habits

For pure bending, the Standard is a simple start. If you trim often, choose With Cutter. On the other hand, if wire tends to slip, try the Grooved Tip.

Treat the cutter well

The cutter on the first option is for light wire only. So never use it above its rated size. In addition, keep the tips closed in storage so the edges stay sharp.
