Description
Leland-Jones Atrauma Cardiovascular Peripheral Vascular Clamp
The Leland-Jones clamp suits peripheral vascular work, where gentle occlusion matters most. It comes in 18, 19 and 20 cm lengths.
A peripheral focus
Surgeons use it on vessels outside the chest and abdomen. So it fits limb, groin and neck procedures well. Its atraumatic jaws also protect smaller, thinner vessel walls.
Three lengths
The three sizes sit one centimeter apart from each other. Meanwhile, they all stay compact enough for a peripheral incision. Pick the one that matches the depth you usually work at.
A gentle grip
Peripheral arteries often carry plaque that cracks under rough handling. Therefore, an atraumatic grip reduces the risk of injury to the wall. The clamp nevertheless closes tightly enough to stop bleeding.
Adding to a set
Peripheral vascular trays often hold two or three of these clamps. In addition, a Leland-Jones clamp works well next to DeBakey peripheral clamps. That mix gives the surgeon more jaw options in one tray.
Reprocessing Leland-Jones clamp
Remove clotted blood from the jaws with a wet sponge as the case goes on. Then send the clamp through the washer in an open position. Once dry, check jaw alignment against a light before storing it.
