Description
Implant Osteotomes with Depth Stop
A depth stop osteotome sets a physical limit. You tap toward a planned depth, and the stop marks where to quit. This range pairs that stop with two tip faces, two shaft forms and five diameters. So you can build a graduated sequence for each site. Every piece is stainless steel, driven by hand pressure or light mallet taps.
Concave Tip or Flat Tip
The concave face is hollowed. It gathers and carries particulate graft or displaced bone ahead of it, so many clinicians reach for it during crestal sinus floor work. The flat face, by contrast, meets bone with an even surface. It suits condensing a narrow osteotomy where you want uniform pressure.
Straight 160 mm Against Offset 175 mm
The straight shaft keeps things simple. At 160 mm, it gives a direct line of force in the anterior maxilla. The offset version adds length to 175 mm and bends the shaft away from the axis. As a result, it clears the lower lip and opposing teeth at premolar and molar sites.
Stepping Through 2.0 to 5.0 mm
Each combination comes in five diameters. That lets you widen a site in small increments:
- 2.0 mm and 2.7 mm for the first passes after a pilot drill.
- 3.2 mm for intermediate expansion.
- 4.2 mm and 5.0 mm for finishing sites sized to wider fixtures.
Most practices first stock a full row of one tip face and shaft. They then add the other row once they settle on a preferred approach.
What the Stop Does at the Crest
The stop seats against the crest. Because of that, it helps you avoid driving past the depth you planned. Still, confirm that depth against your own imaging before every case.
The steel follows the ASTM F899 specification for surgical stainless steel. Our team in the United States also inspects each depth stop osteotome before it ships. We back these tips for three years against manufacturing defects, counted from your invoice date. Intended for trained dental and surgical professionals. The osteotomes ship non-sterile, so first follow our care and sterilization steps. Then see shipping and delivery for transit times.
