Description
Titanium Implant Bone Carrier
A titanium bone carrier bridges the gap between the graft dish and the surgical site. You load particulate graft or harvested chips, carry them to the defect, and release them where they are needed. Because the instrument is titanium, graft material has no steel to contact on its way in.
Why Titanium Here
Many implant teams prefer titanium for anything that touches graft or a fixture surface. It is light in the hand. In addition, it avoids putting a different metal against a titanium implant during grafting around threads or a dehiscence. This carrier is offered as a single titanium instrument, so there are no sizes to choose between.
A Typical Carry Cycle
First, wet the particles in a dish with saline or site blood. Next, press the carrier into the mix so particles fill the working end. Then transfer the load and release it against the bone. Repeat in small portions, since several modest loads place more precisely than one large heap. Once the defect is filled, a packer or compactor can settle the material.
Where It Fits in a Grafting Tray
Our supplier lists this carrier within a basic implant set, alongside the instruments for opening, preparing and closing a site. Consequently it slots naturally into a standard surgical cassette. It suits socket preservation, small lateral defects and grafting around an exposed implant surface.
From Our Shelf to Your Tray
Every titanium carrier gets a hands-on look from our team in Georgia, United States, before it ships. It arrives unsterilized, so put it through your washer and autoclave before grafting. Our warranty treats it like the steel lines: three years against manufacturing defects in material or workmanship.
Our steel instruments follow ASTM F899; this titanium carrier sits alongside them in Dental Implant Instruments. Mix graft beforehand in the bone mixing bowl. More answers are on the FAQs page.
