Description
How Utility Pliers
The How plier is a true all-rounder. These How utility pliers have round, serrated pads that grip wire and small parts firmly. You can use them to guide an archwire into a tube or to hold wire while you adjust it. Seven options cover tip width, angle and pattern.
A Plier for Every Wire Change
Archwire changes are a daily task. First, you remove the old wire. Then you seat the new one, often into molar tubes at the back. A How plier grips the wire end so it does not slip. Moreover, the round pads are kind to the wire surface.
Seven Ways to Order It
The Mini, Straight and Mini, Angled options have 2.4 mm wide tips. The Standard, Straight and Standard, Angled options have 4 mm wide tips. Next, the 45° Angled, Serrated option has serrated beaks with 45° tips to reach hard spots. Finally, Straight, Style 2 and Angled, Style 2 are an alternative catalogue pattern of the same plier. So check their photos to compare.
Wire Sizes the Catalogue Lists
For the Mini, Standard and Style 2 versions, the catalogue lists round wire from .012″ up to .020″. It also sets a rectangular limit of .022″ by .028″. Stay within those figures, because larger wire can mark or spread the pads.
Mini Tips or Standard Tips?
- Mini tips suit tight spaces and small parts.
- Standard tips spread the grip over a wider area.
- Angled heads help at the back of the mouth.
- Straight heads give a clear, direct line at the front.
We sell every option singly, so you can mix sizes for each chair.
Cover, Steel and Useful Links
Its stainless steel meets ASTM F899. Each How plier follows our specification and goes through a careful review in the United States. The How plier comes with a written term of three years against manufacturing defects. Out of its packet the plier is not sterile, yet a wash plus an autoclave run readies it for each new patient.
