Description
Flohr Root Elevators
Flohr root elevators come in six figures, and two of them form a handed pair. That pair is the reason many clinicians choose this family. With a left and a right form, you reach roots on both sides without awkward wrist angles.
The full list of Flohr options
You can order Fig. 1F, 2F, 3F, 2 Left, 3 Right and 46. Each one is a single item, so you buy only what you need. However, we say little about each exact shape. Instead, pick by feel, by root and by access.
The case for owning both hands
A handed figure works best on one side of the mouth. So if you own only 2 Left, you may strain to reach the other side. Adding 3 Right gives you a mirror option. In turn, you can keep a neutral wrist and a steady finger rest on both sides.
Building a Flohr tray
- Start with the 2 Left and 3 Right pair.
- Add Fig. 1F as a general figure.
- Bring in 2F, 3F or 46 as your cases demand.
If you want both families at once, a Flohr and Friedman set also sits in our Sets category.
Controlled force in the socket
Elevators loosen roots by wedging, rotation and gentle leverage in the PDL space. So keep the moves short and your rest firm. Also, avoid a fulcrum on any tooth that is staying. Where an implant may go, keep the buccal plate whole.
Flohr care and cover
All six are made to our specification. Then a careful inspection in the United States follows before packing. Their steel, a stainless type, conforms to ASTM F899. Flohr figures travel non-sterile, and each can serve again after a full clean and sterilizer cycle. If a Flohr figure has a fault from the factory, three years against manufacturing defects protect your order. You can then explore the full root elevator range, add the Friedman root elevators, or find answers on our FAQ list.
For use by qualified clinicians. Read our sterilization page and shipping and delivery first.
