Description
Filling Instruments
Dental filling instruments carry, pack and shape restorative material in the preparation. This listing brings together sixty-two options from several filling instrument pages of our supplier catalogue. Many of those pages describe the range as filling instruments with a contra-angle, so the working ends are angled for access inside the mouth.
Reading the Labels
Each option is named by its catalogue figure, and the groups below follow the catalogue pages:
- Fig. 1, 2, 3 and Fig. 01 to 05: two numbered runs from separate pages.
- Fig. 1L, 2L, 3L: an L series, plus Smooth, Fig. 1L to 4L printed beside Serrated, Fig. 1 to 4.
- Pattern B and Pattern C, Fig. 1 to 3 each: further catalogue rows the supplier does not name.
- Amalgam Pattern, Fig. 1 to 3 and Serrated, Fig. 01 and 02.
- Fig. A, W3, NYU/B and NYU/B2.
Serrated, Smooth and the Burnishers
Serrated and Smooth describe the face of the working end, as the catalogue prints them. So clinicians who like a textured face for packing pick serrated figures, while others prefer smooth. Also, two options are burnishers: Fig. 2/31 is captioned a Ladmore burnisher, and Fig. 31 is captioned a burnisher. In addition, the caption for Serrated, Fig. 02 mentions titanium gold tips, so check its photo.
What Style 2 Means Here
Many figures appear again as Style 2, and Pattern B and C work the same way. These are second catalogue rows, showing the same figure on another handle or pattern the supplier does not explain. Therefore compare photos, then reorder exactly the label etched on your old instrument.
Steel and Service
All sixty-two options use stainless steel matching ASTM F899. Every filling instrument is looked over by hand at our United States base before it ships. Every figure on this page holds a guarantee of three years against manufacturing defects covering alloy and finish, although tip wear from daily packing is normal. Since none arrive sterile, scrub every end and sterilize it before it touches a preparation.
Packing and shaping tools fill much of our Diagnostic, Periodontal & Restorative Instruments. For a dedicated angled range, compare our Contra-Angled Filling Instruments, and find order answers in our FAQs.
Filling instruments are supplied to licensed dental professionals. Our reprocessing page and shipping information cover the details.
