Description
Contra-Angled Filling Instruments
Some cavities sit where a straight shank simply cannot reach. A contra-angled filling instrument bends its shank so the working end lines up with the handle axis, which keeps the tip steady in posterior areas. Our supplier’s filling instrument pages describe this group as contra-angled. This product page gathers all 26 versions we stock.
How the Pattern Letters Work
The catalogue arranges the group in lettered patterns, A through F. Within most letters, Fig. 1, Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 give different working ends. Patterns B, C and E each come in all three figures. Pattern F comes in Fig. 2 and Fig. 3. Patterns A and D come in Fig. 1 only. The catalogue does not describe each end in words, so the photos are the real guide.
The Second Handle Row: Style 2
A following catalogue page repeats the same letters and figures. We list that row with Style 2 at the end, for example Pattern C, Fig. 2, Style 2. Blade-wise it repeats the first row; only the handle changes, and the supplier leaves that handle unnamed. So if you prefer one grip, compare the two handle photos before ordering a full run.
Building a Practical Selection
- Start with one letter in all three figures.
- Then add Style 2 copies if your team favours that handle.
- Keep a spare of your most-used figure.
Because each option is priced and sold singly, you can grow the set gradually. In addition, reordering one lost figure is straightforward when the label matches.
Each contra-angled instrument is checked in the United States for shank angle and tip finish before it ships from Georgia. All 26 options travel non-sterile; give each one a full wash and sterilization cycle before restorative use. Also, any letter, figure or handle you choose carries three years against manufacturing defects; contra-angle shanks included.
The instrument steel meets ASTM F899. For resin-specific ends, add our composite filling instruments. You can also browse the restorative, diagnostic and periodontal category or read our FAQ.
