Our Falcon root elevator set is a simple handed pair: Fig. 1 left and Fig. 1 right. It suits a clinic that wants one dependable left-right duo rather than a large kit. Two tools, one order, both sides covered.

A pair, not a pile

Large kits are useful, but many trays only need one handed pair. A left and right blade let you approach a root from the side with the best access. As a result, you can often use less force.

How the pair works in a case

First, loosen the tooth or root with a straight elevator. Next, choose the Falcon blade that faces the root from the open side. Then seat the tip and turn gently. Once the root starts to rise, switch to forceps or a fine pick.

Signs it is time to add this pair

A small duo fits many practices:

• You often treat lower molar roots.
• Your tray lacks any handed elevator.
• You want a backup pair for a second room.
• You teach and want a simple left-right demo.

Falcon pair or a bigger handed kit?

If you want three pairs, look at the Cryer or Barry kits. Those give more working ends. But if your tray already has straight elevators, this single pair may fill the gap at a lower step up.
