Description
Cryer Root Elevator Set, 6 Pieces
The Cryer root elevator set puts three handed pairs of the classic triangle-tip elevator into one order. Each pair has a left and a right blade. So you can reach a retained lower molar root from either side.
Why the triangle tip works
A Cryer has a sharp, flat, triangular point. You seat it in the empty socket of one root, then turn the handle. As a result, the septum and the sister root often lift out together.
Three pairs, one technique
The kit holds Fig. 25 and 26, Fig. 31 and 32, and Fig. 44 and 45. In every pair, one blade faces left and the other faces right. Still, all six share one basic design, so your hand motion stays familiar.
A typical lower molar sequence
Most cases follow a simple order:
- Section the crown and split the roots if needed.
- Remove the first root with a straight elevator or forceps.
- Seat the Cryer tip in the empty socket, facing the other root.
- Rotate the handle to lift the septum and the root.
This kit or a straight-blade kit?
If you mostly need straight luxation, a Seldin kit may suit you better. But for divided lower molar roots, a handed Cryer is hard to replace.
One order instead of six
Buying the pairs together means each left blade matches its right twin in finish and feel. In addition, one order is simpler to track.
Warranty and support for your Cryer pairs
Cryer Fig. 25 to 45 elevators hold three years against manufacturing defects; any flawed Cryer gets a repair or a swap. Our Cryer pairs follow ASTM F899 for surgical stainless steel. They come to you non-sterile; wash and autoclave them before the first patient, and they serve again case after case.
