The first five figures, Fig. 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4, share one catalogue page. Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 also appear as Style 2. Our supplier prints those on a lower row with an alternative handle, but it never says what differs, so the product photos are the fair way to decide. Then order the handle you find steadier.

Round Versus Oval Spoon: 17, 18, 19 and the W Figures

Fig. 6, 14, 17, 18 and 19 come from a second excavator page. Next to 17, 18 and 19, the same page prints 17W, 18W and 19W, each captioned as an oval spoon. So the W letter marks the oval version of that figure number. Therefore compare round and oval photos side by side when you choose.

Set Patterns 12, 13, 15 and 16

• Set Pattern 12, 13, 15 and 16 are components from our supplier’s instrument sets.
• They are listed by name only, so match the pattern number on the set you are completing.
• Because they replace set pieces, they are handy when one spoon in a cassette goes missing.

Finish, Inspection and Guarantee

All nineteen options are stainless steel conforming to ASTM F899. Every spoon passes through a manual check by our crew in America before it is wrapped. Our guarantee lasts three years against manufacturing defects for each excavator, covering spoon metal and polish, though spoon wear from sharpening is expected. Nothing ships sterile, therefore clean the instruments and run a full sterilizer cycle before using them.
