Description
Euro Breech-Loading Aspirating Syringe, Ring Handle
With this euro breech loading syringe, the cartridge goes in from the back rather than through a side window. A thumb ring and a finger flange give you the usual aspirating grip. Any standard 1.8 ml cartridge fits.
What breech loading means
On a side-loading syringe, you drop the cartridge into an open slot. Here, the barrel stays closed along its length. Instead, you load the cartridge through the rear end, behind the barrel. Some users like the enclosed barrel because the glass sits fully shrouded.
Cleaning a breech design
A closed barrel needs a little more care when you clean it. First, take out the needle and cartridge. Then run a suitable brush through the bore from the rear. Rinse, check for dried solution, and dry fully before you sterilize.
- Cartridge loads from the back
- Thumb ring for aspiration
- Finger flange for a steady rest
- Enclosed barrel around the cartridge
Using the ring
Once loaded, the harpoon sets into the stopper. So a brief pull on the ring creates the draw-back for the safety check. Then a slow push delivers the dose.
Ring or T-handle?
We stock the euro breech loading syringe with two thumb ends. The ring suits a thumb-only pull. In contrast, the T-handle gives a broad rest for the push. Choose by how you like to aspirate.
Typical users
Clinicians trained on rear-loading syringes often stay with them. In practice, the routine becomes second nature after a few days.
Shipped non-sterile, it is meant for reuse after cleaning and sterilisation. Steel components meet ASTM F899. Any fault from the factory gets our backing for three years against manufacturing defects. Take a look at Intrace anaesthesia syringes, the T-handle breech version, or our FAQ section.
