Description
Euro Aspirating Dental Syringe, Black Square Grip
This euro square grip syringe swaps the usual thumb ring for a flat, square thumb grip in black. The spool finger grip is black as well. Inside, it remains a manual aspirating design for 1.8 ml cartridges, with a harpoon to grip the stopper.
A pad instead of a ring
Some clinicians dislike putting a thumb through a ring. A square grip lets the thumb rest flat on the end. As a result, the push feels open and natural, much like a pen click.
Drawing back without a ring
Aspiration still works, but the motion differs. Rather than hooking the thumb, you pinch the square grip and ease it back. Try the move a few times before your first patient. If you depend on a thumb-only pull, a ring model may suit you better.
Why the black finish
Black parts stand out against steel trays. So staff can spot this syringe fast, and it is easy to keep apart from ring models in a mixed set.
- Square thumb grip in black
- Black spool grip for the fingers
- Harpoon for pull-back tests
Who might prefer it
The euro square grip syringe tends to suit users who mostly give infiltrations with a light push. Meanwhile, those who give many deep blocks may want a closed ring for a quick, one-thumb draw.
Checks before reuse
Inspect the joint between the square grip and the plunger rod. Then check that the harpoon is sharp and straight. Replace the syringe if either part feels loose.
Note that it comes non-sterile; after a full cleaning and sterilisation cycle you can use it again. Only its steel parts follow ASTM F899, since the black grips are a different material. Our pledge on this model is three years against manufacturing defects. Browse our syringe category, compare the Euro syringe with a thumb ring, or see our support questions.
