Description
Direct Bond Bracket Holder Tweezers
Our direct bond bracket tweezers hold a bracket from pick-up to placement during direct bonding. You get a choice of two tips. Therefore you can fit the instrument to the brackets you use and the teeth you treat most.
Small Tip versus Standard Tip
The Standard Tip version is the everyday pattern for most brackets. The Small Tip version has a smaller tip, which can help with small brackets and tight access, for instance near the second molars or on lower incisors. Each tip is sold on its own terms as a single item, so many offices keep one of each. If unsure, check the photos side by side.
Holding through the whole step
With direct bond bracket tweezers of the holder type, you carry, place and seat the bracket in one smooth motion. So you spend less effort on grip and more on position. Also, the bracket is less likely to spin when you press it into the paste.
Choosing by case mix
- Mostly standard metal brackets: the Standard Tip.
- Many small or narrow brackets: the Small Tip.
- Mixed caseload: one of each on the tray.
- Training a new assistant: start with the Standard Tip.
From bonding day to rebonds
A loose bracket mid treatment needs a quick fix. In that case, the Small Tip can slip in around an archwire more easily. However, the Standard Tip often feels more secure for a full arch at the first visit.
Tip care between patients
Adhesive on the tips makes the next bracket stick. Therefore clean the tips right after use. Then check that both sides still meet evenly, because uneven tips can tilt a bracket.
Both tips reach you non-sterile. Clean and sterilize either tip ahead of its first bonding, and from then on it is reusable. Our specification governs both versions, and our team inspects them in the United States. For both tips, Intrace picks stainless steel conforming to ASTM F899. Whichever tip you choose, a warranty of its own gives three years against manufacturing defects.
