Description
Bracket Placer Tweezers, Extra Fine Tip
These bracket placer tweezers have an extra fine tip. That makes them a good pick for small brackets and tight spaces. You get a single pattern, ready for your bonding tray.
When a fine tip pays off
Small brackets can hide behind wide tips. By contrast, a fine tip leaves more of the bracket in view. So you see the slot and base as you place it. This also helps with buttons and small attachments.
Lower incisors and crowded arches
Crowded lower fronts leave little room. In that case, an extra fine tip can slip between teeth without nudging the next bracket. Moreover, it helps on rotated teeth where you must angle in from the side.
Handling a fine tip well
- Use light pressure; fine tips need less force.
- Do not use the tips to bend wire or pry.
- Keep a standard pair on hand for bigger parts.
- Inspect the tips after each cycle.
Choosing between our placer patterns
If most of your brackets are standard size, a regular tip may feel more secure. However, if you work with many small brackets, this fine pattern earns its spot. Many offices simply keep both and pick by tooth.
Protecting the tip
Fine tips bend more easily than broad ones. Therefore store the bracket placer tweezers where nothing heavy rests on them. A tip guard or a fixed cassette slot also helps.
Fine-tip pairs are packed non-sterile. Once cleaned and sterilized, each pair goes back to work for the next case. We have them made to our specification, and every pair gets one inspection by an Intrace team member in the United States. Fine tips and handles alike are stainless steel that fits ASTM F899. We back each pair with three years against manufacturing defects for real peace of mind. Next, browse the orthodontic section, compare the Direct Bond Bracket Holder Tweezers, or read our buyer FAQ.
