Description
DEL Root Elevators
DEL root elevators give you ten patterns in one family, so you can match a figure to the root in front of you. Their numbers follow well known elevator numbers. As a result, most dentists can place each one quickly.
Ten DEL numbers you may already know
The series runs DEL 301, 302, 303, 34, 34S, 36, 44, 45, 46R and 77R. In general, 301 to 303 track the apexo-type numbers, while 34 and 34S track the Seldin-type numbers. Also, 46R and 77R are right-hand forms. If you already like those classic figures, the DEL numbers point you to a similar feel.
Picking DEL figures for a tray
- Start with the figures your team reaches for on routine roots.
- Add 34 or 34S if a Seldin-type pattern suits your hand.
- Pick 301, 302 or 303 for apexo-type work.
- Keep 46R or 77R near when a right-hand form fits your access.
We sell every pattern singly. So try a figure on real cases before you fill a whole tray.
Wedge, turn, then lift
Any root elevator works by wedging, rotation and gentle leverage inside the PDL space. Keep a firm finger rest and use steady, small moves. Never pry against a neighbor tooth unless it is also coming out. If you plan an implant, leave the buccal bone whole and let the root loosen slowly.
Hold and edge checks
A calm grip gives more control than extra force. For this reason, seat the handle in your palm and let the index finger guide the shank. After each case, look at the tip under good light. A dull or nicked edge tends to slip, so hone it lightly or swap that one figure.
DEL order and upkeep
Each DEL figure comes made to our specification, and every piece passes a last review in the United States. For DEL steel, our benchmark is ASTM F899. It ships non-sterile and, once cleaned and autoclaved, goes back into service. We also back every DEL figure for three years against manufacturing defects, counting from the day the parcel lands at your door.
