Description
Cylinder Cartridge Syringe
The cylinder cartridge syringe encloses the cartridge in a round barrel. That closed design protects the glass and keeps the cartridge centred. We offer it for 1.8 cc and 2.2 cc cartridges, with a choice of fittings.
Cartridge size
The 1.8 cc version takes the common US cartridge. Meanwhile, the 2.2 cc version takes the larger cartridge used in many other markets. So pick the size that matches the anaesthetic you stock.
Fitting options
- Adaptors, for both cartridge sizes
- Aspiration device with a metric needle thread
- Aspiration device with a US needle thread
- Three movable aspiration hooks on a metric thread (2.2 cc)
About the thread
Needle hubs come in metric and US threads. Therefore, order the thread that matches your needles, or the needle will not seat. If you are unsure, check the needle box before you order.
Aspiration
The aspiration device and the hooks grip the cartridge stopper. As a result, a gentle pull on the plunger draws back to check for a vessel. The three-hook version spreads that grip around the stopper for a secure hold.
Care
Remove the cartridge and needle after each use. Then clean the barrel inside and out, along with the plunger. Next, dry everything and check the hooks or device before sterilizing.
Why a closed barrel
An open-window syringe shows the cartridge but leaves the glass exposed. A cylinder barrel, by contrast, wraps the glass fully. That suits clinics that want extra protection or that work with larger 2.2 cc cartridges.
Each cylinder syringe leaves us non-sterile; clean the barrel and plunger, then sterilize, and it is ready. Its stainless steel meets ASTM F899. Every cylinder syringe carries three years against manufacturing defects, both cartridge sizes included. Spare parts are listed as the cylinder syringe adaptor.
