Crown and Bridge Set, 15 Pieces
A crown and bridge set must serve two visits: the prep and the seat. These fifteen pieces cover both, so you can refine margins, pack cord, check the bite and mix cement.
Refining the preparation
First, the TU 17/23 explorer and CP12 probe check margins and gum depth. Then the enamel hatchets 13/14 and 15/16 plane weak enamel along the walls. The excavator 17 clears soft decay or old cement.
- Explorer, probe and hatchets for the prep
- Cord packer for retraction
- Carbide crown scissors
- Paper forceps and cement spatula
Retraction cord and temporaries
Before an impression, the CSI 1 cord packer seats retraction cord into the sulcus. Meanwhile, the crown scissors trim temporaries and bands. Those carbide inserts beat plain steel for hardness, so the crown scissor edges tend to last. The carving knife 21 also shapes temporary material.
Titanium tips for handling material
Two pieces have titanium ends: the IPS carver and the TUFTS 4 plastic filling instrument. Titanium is light, which suits fine shaping. In addition, the placer carries small amounts of material.
Seating and checking the bite
Once the crown fits, the cement spatula mixes the luting agent. Next, the articulating paper forceps hold marking paper steady so you can read contacts. Finally, cotton forceps and a mirror handle help with isolation.
Choosing between restorative kits
This kit focuses on fixed work. By contrast, direct fillings call for more carvers, so a composite or amalgam kit fits those visits better. One order also keeps handles matched.
We have the fifteen pieces made to our specification, and our team inspects every one in the United States. Steel quality is set against ASTM F899. Expect them non-sterile on arrival; once you clean and sterilise them, they become reusable. We stand behind the crown and bridge kit with three years against manufacturing defects, starting from your purchase date. For direct fillings, look at the composite restorative kit, or browse every clinical dental set we carry. Common order questions sit on our help page.
