College Forceps

Almost every dental setup includes a pair of college forceps beside the mirror and explorer. Their angled tips carry cotton rolls, pellets, wedges and small items into the mouth and back out again. Every option on this page is 15 cm long, which matches the standard tray length. The differences lie in the figure and the joint.

Three options are numbered figures from our supplier’s cotton plier page. The catalogue marks Fig. 2 as serrated, so its tips carry grooves that hold small items firmly. Fig. 1 and Fig. 8 have no extra description in the catalogue. Therefore, look at the photos to compare tip angle and surface before you choose. If you are replacing a lost pair, simply reorder the figure you had.

The Toe Joint Pattern

Toe Joint is the catalogue’s own name for a further college design. We do not add details the supplier leaves out, so the photo is your best guide to how it differs from the numbered figures. It comes in two finishes, described next.

Standard or Blue Coated

The Toe Joint is offered in Standard steel or Blue Coated. The blue coated version is listed that way in the catalogue, and the colour makes it easy to spot on a busy tray. Some offices also use colour to separate instruments by operatory. Every other option on this page is Standard only.
