Description
Chompret Syndesmotome Root Elevator Set, 4 Pieces
The Chompret syndesmotome set offers four blades in a simple progression. Fig. 1 starts straight. Then each next figure adds more angle, up to Fig. 4.
A step-by-step angle range
Because the angle grows from piece to piece, you can pick the one that matches your line of access. So a front tooth may need Fig. 1, while a tooth further back may suit Fig. 3 or 4.
What a syndesmotome does
A syndesmotome has a thin, sharp edge. You run it down the ligament space to cut the fibers. After that, the tooth tends to loosen with less force.
Key points for daily use:
- Keep the edge against the root, not the gum.
- Use short strokes around the tooth.
- Check edges for nicks after each cycle.
Working the arch with four blades
Start at the front with the straight blade. Next, move to more angled blades as you work toward the back. In practice, two or three blades of the Chompret syndesmotome set often cover a single case.
Chompret four or a larger kit?
Our eight- and twelve-piece kits give more shapes, including curved and posterior blades. However, the Chompret four suits a clinic that wants a short, clear range on a small tray.
The case for buying all four
Having the full progression means no jump in angle between blades. Also, the four share one finish and arrive in one order.
Chompret ordering and support
These Chompret blades have three years against manufacturing defects, and our team will fix or replace any faulty Chompret syndesmotome. Our design team specifies them, and their stainless steel satisfies ASTM F899. They leave us non-sterile and become reusable after cleaning and sterilization. Need more shapes? See the angled and curved syndesmotomes. You can also view all institutional dental sets or check the FAQ section.
Only for professional use. Take care with sharp edges, and see our care page and shipping guide.
