Description
Bone Files
This page groups four bone files that share one job: refining the alveolar crest after teeth come out. Each pattern comes from a different place in our supplier catalogue. Two are drawn from extraction sets, while two appear on the dedicated bone file page. Every option is sold as a single instrument.
BF21 and BF1X From the Extraction Sets
The BF21 belongs to the catalogue’s A-Traumatic Extraction Set. That set focuses on preserving socket walls, so the file is a natural partner for gentle extraction protocols. By contrast, the BF1X comes from the catalogue’s standard Extraction Set. If you already use either set, ordering the matching file keeps your trays consistent.
Fig. 33 and Fig. 10 as Individual Patterns
Both figures appear on the catalogue’s bone file page. The Fig. 10 entry carries labels in German, French and Spanish, while Fig. 33 is shown without a name. The catalogue lists no dimensions for these two. For that reason, compare the photos to judge the working-end shape before you choose.
Matching a File to the Procedure
For a single extraction site, a small file reaches into the socket margin without disturbing nearby teeth. Alveoloplasty across several sites, however, rewards a pattern you can sweep along the ridge. Many surgeons stock two figures for that reason. Then they reach for whichever suits the case.
Delivery Condition and Coverage
We inspect all four patterns in the United States before packing. They leave our facility non-sterile, so clean and sterilize each file before use. In addition, we guarantee these bone files for three years against manufacturing defects in the cutting surface or handle.
Their stainless steel follows ASTM F899. Browse further maxillofacial surgery instruments, or pair a file with Miller bone curettes to clear the socket first. Our FAQs answer common ordering questions.
Restricted to trained oral surgery and dental professionals. Details on instrument reprocessing and order delivery are on our site.
