Black’s Cutting Instruments

Intrace USA carries this line of instruments built on G.V. Black’s cavity-preparation system. The line covers two roles. Carving figures shape and finish a restoration. Cutting figures — hatchets, excavators, and margin trimmers — prepare the cavity first.

The carving figures include Shooshan A, Bredall 4, 21, 21B, and Frahm. Additional carving figures are Hollenback 3, Walls 3, Ward 1, Ward 2, Caulk 5/7, and Levy 7. Hollenback 3 comes in smooth and serrated tips. The cutting figures are Fig.51/52, Fig.53/54, Fig.63/64, Fig.65/66, Fig.77/78, and Fig.79/80. Each follows the same Black’s numbering convention.
