Bishop Harman Micro Tissue Forceps, 1×2 Teeth
Bishop Harman forceps bring ophthalmic-scale precision to periodontal and implant microsurgery. These measure 8.6 cm and end in 0.3 mm tips with 1×2 teeth. As a result, they hold a thin flap edge or a papilla securely without crushing it.
Small Tips, Small Bites
At 0.3 mm, the tips grasp only a sliver of tissue. The 1×2 tooth pattern then interlocks, so the tissue cannot slip out sideways. That combination suits delicate work, such as stabilising a papilla flap while you pass a fine suture through it.
The 8.6 cm Length
A short instrument sits deep in the palm. So, your fingers stay close to the tips, which gives fine control under loupes or a microscope. However, the short body limits reach in far posterior sites, where a longer forceps may be easier.
Where Microsurgical Forceps Earn Their Place
Root coverage grafts, papilla reconstruction and tunnel procedures all involve tissue only a millimetre or two thick. In those cases, standard Adson forceps can feel oversized. Then a micro forceps like this one helps you position a graft or suture a margin with less trauma.
Handled, Inspected and Covered
Tiny tips need gentle reprocessing. Keep them closed in a protective sleeve, and avoid letting heavier instruments land on them. A U.S. team member in Atlanta views each 0.3 mm tip under magnification prior to packing. The forceps reach you unsterilized; clean them gently and autoclave before microsurgery. In addition, Bishop Harman forceps from us carry three years against manufacturing defects cover for the tips, teeth and spring.
The forceps are made from steel to ASTM F899. Our implant instrument category holds further microsurgical tools, and compare the Micro Adson tissue forceps for a slightly broader grip. Ordering questions are in our FAQs.
