Description
Bengolea Artery Forceps
Bengolea artery forceps are a long hemostat for deep work. They come in 20 and 26 cm, with a choice of jaw.
Two lengths
The 20 cm size reaches most abdominal work. However, the 26 cm size goes deeper.
Straight or curved
Each length comes straight or curved.
Serrated or toothed
Serrated jaws suit vessels. By contrast, 1:2 teeth hold denser tissue.
Working deep
Long forceps keep your hand out of the line of sight. So they suit deep pelvic and abdominal clamping. Also, curved jaws help you place the tips beneath a structure. Then close the ratchet fully so the long jaw holds along its length. In addition, the 26 cm size helps in a deep abdomen, where a standard clamp cannot reach. Meanwhile, the 20 cm size handles most routine deep work.
Reprocessing Bengolea artery forceps
Long jaws flex if dropped, so handle them with care. Clean the jaws and joint, rinse and dry, then store the forceps flat.
